The parishes of St Peter’s (Hazel Grove) and St. Alban’s (Macclesfield) have their pilgrimage to Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham on Monday 16th June to Thursday 19th June 2025. Note: A limited number of seats are available on the mini-bus which departs Hazel Grove on Monday 16th at 8am and St Alban’s at 9am. Please contact Peter for more information.

Monday 16th June
8:00 Minibus departs Hazel Grove (St. Peter’s RC Church)
9:00 Minibus departs in Macclesfield (St. Albans RC Church)
11:30 Estimated arrival in Newark, Notts, for lunch (not included in pilgrim costs)
13:30 Minibus departs Newark
16:00 Estimated arrival in Little Walsingham
17:00 Mass in the Church of the Annunciation.
18:00 Evening meal.
20:00 Evening Prayer in the Church of the Annunciation.
Tuesday 17th June
8:00 Morning prayer in the Church of the Annunciation, followed by breakfast
9:45 Rosary procession to the RC Shrine along the Pilgrim Way. Minibus transportation is available for anyone who does not wish to walk to the Shrine.
Noon Daily Pilgrim Mass in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
14:00 Gather outside the Church of the Annunciation for a group photograph
14:30 Blessing at the Anglican Shrine
18:00 Evening meal.
20:00 Evening Prayer in the Church of the Annunciation, followed by Benediction and a healing service.
Wednesday 18th June
8:00 Morning prayer in the Church of the Annunciation, followed by breakfast
9:30 Option to visit the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham. Pilgrims should gather outside the Church of the Annunciation
13:00 Return to the village by minibus.
14:30 Rosary procession from the Church of the Annunciation to the Abbey grounds, ending with prayers/worship at the plaque on the lawns that marks the location of the original Shrine. Pilgrims are then free to explore the Abbey grounds.
18:00 Evening meal
20:00 Evening Prayer in the Church of the Annunciation, followed by Benediction and a candlelit procession.
Thursday 19th June
8:00 Morning prayer in the Church of the Annunciation, followed by breakfast
9:45 Rosary procession to the RC Shrine along the Pilgrim Way. Minibus transportation is available for anyone who does not wish to walk to the Shrine.
Noon Daily Pilgrim Mass in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
13:00 Depart for the return journey
